Associate Patient Care Coordinator

They are a nonprofit system with over 200 providers at more than 20 locations, 3 outpatient facilities, a certified medical fitness facility, a surgical weight loss center and the Mitchell Memorial Cancer Center.

* This position is full-time, Monday - Friday, with rotating Saturdays. Employees are required to work shifts during our normal business hours of 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

This position works from any of our 3 facilities as business needs determined. Our offices are located at 2200 E Parrish Ave, Owensboro, KY, 42303, 1006 Ford Avenue, Owensboro, KY 42301, 1000 Breckenridge Street, Owensboro, KY 42303.

We offer the first 8 weeks (full-time) of paid training. The hours of the training will be 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM CST from Monday - Friday. Training will be conducted onsite.

* Primary Responsibilities:

*
* + Schedules appointment times using computerized scheduling programs

+ May communicate with physicians and other healthcare team members to ensure availability of facilities and staff

+ Communicate with patients and / or their families to provide necessary pre-procedure instructions and / or to confirm appointments

+ Performs insurance verification and / or pre - authorizations as necessary

+ May be responsible for entering patient demographic information and scanning documents into an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system

+ May correspond with referring providers and / or patients for reports, information exchange, scheduling, x - rays, and paperwork. The pace is fast, so your ability to multi-task is essential. You should also enjoy working with people and have the communication skills necessary to build strong relationships with our customers

* + High School Diploma/GED (or higher)

+ Ability to work any shift between the hours of 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM from Monday - Friday, with rotating Saturdays, including the flexibility to work occasional overtime based on business need

+ Must be 18 years of age OR older

* Preferred Qualifications:

* + 1+ years of related work experience, including data entry

+ 1+ years of customer service experience

+ Working knowledge of medical office procedures and medical terminology

The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.15 to $28.80 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
