HR Generalist / Talent Management, Regulatory Compliance Specialist, Recruiter / Talent Acquisition
Under direct supervision of the Prosecuting Attorney, this full-time, unclassified position handles personnel and payroll related matters; provides administrative support; and performs other related duties as set forth below:
- Prepare and post vacant full-time and seasonal position descriptions and participate in recruitment and onboarding process;
- Prepare and maintain personnel files;
- Prepare, audit and submit bi-weekly payroll for approximately 140 employees;
- Maintain attendance records for approximately 140 employees;
- Maintain employee profiles, schedules, timecards and leave requests in HRIS software applications;
- Maintain confidentiality of information and handling of sensitive information and documents;
- Handle email, phone calls and other forms of communication; both internal and external;
- Address employee concerns and issues and implement decisive action in disciplinary matters when necessary.
- Plan, coordinate, and support office events and employee functions, including retirement celebrations, staff luncheons, holiday gatherings, and other organizational events, ensuring activities are well-organized, professional, and aligned with the office’s needs and objectives.

- Employee relations;
- Office practices and procedures;
- Office equipment;
- Microsoft Office;
- Use of various software applications required for recruitment and compliance;
- Public relations matters;
- Personnel procedures and practices;
- Develop and maintain strong professional working relationships with Division Heads, Directors, Supervisors, Attorneys, Support Staff, and external partners and contacts;
- Effective oral and written communication.
Minimum high school diploma, supplemented by experience and education in business administration and office procedures; ability to operate all office equipment and use Microsoft Office software. Previous experience in a Human Resource role and/or Human Resource degree preferred.
The Montgomery County Prosecutor will accept applications for a Personnel, Payroll and Benefits Officer until 4:30 p.m. on Friday, October 9, 2026.
Pay Range: $60,000.00 to $65,000.00, commensurate with experience.
This is a full time, unclassified position with benefits, including OPERS.
