The Team Lead has general responsibility for coordinating and overseeing all operational activities assigned to them on a daily basis. Under the direction of the Operations Supervisor, the Team Lead is responsible for the oversight of associates dedicated to the warehousing, receiving, and shipping of product in their area, ensuring consistent adherence to company service and cost objectives.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Mentor and train new and existing associates in specific distribution activities to help achieve established customer demands
- Train associates on current Standard Operating Procedures covering shipping, receiving, picking, and quality control
- Assist in forklift operation and certification for new and existing associates
- Oversee and coordinate unloading of inbound shipments, orderly stacking of product, and the picking and staging of outbound shipments in accordance with productivity standards
Verify required inbound/outbound paperwork with drivers, ensuring proper counting of all products - Efficiently and accurately load orders according to the appropriate doors and trailers
- Process all shipping/receiving/picking functions as defined by the Standard Operating Procedures
- Research discrepancies that may occur in the shipping and receiving process
- Conduct yourself in a professional manner in appearance and communications
- Communicate with customers telephonically, electronically, or in person as needed
- Prepare required activity reports accurately and efficiently for site management
- Use appropriate documentation to ensure all product and/or orders are received or shipped correctly, verifying quality standards and reporting damages or discrepancies
- Stack, package, shrink wrap, and label product(s) according to SOPs
- Report inconsistencies and/or problems to the Operations Supervisor or Operations Manager
- Participate in quality meetings
- Have knowledge of and comply with relevant ISO standards affecting the position and department
- Execute all safety protocols and promote a safe work environment
- Maintain cleanliness of the warehouse, ensuring a neat, orderly work area and supporting security
- Participate in safety meetings
- Direct warehouse work team operations to achieve productivity objectives
- Assist associates and temporary labor with productivity sheets and accurate capture of production and payroll hours
- Assist Supervisor in maintaining workforce levels consistent with productivity needs
- Participate in establishing work schedules, ensuring correct implementation and effective job assignments
- Ensure associates handle products according to all prescribed quality procedures and guidelines
- Initiate action to prevent non-conformities in product, process, and quality systems; identify and record problems; provide solutions through designated channels
- Immediately bring all non-conformities to the attention of the Quality Department
- Operate forklifts, reach trucks, sweeper scrubbers, scissor lifts, cherry pickers, Aisle Masters, or pallet jacks safely and efficiently, following prescribed work methods
- Maintain active forklift certification; inspect and perform minor maintenance on equipment daily
- Assume responsibility for equipment upkeep and report problems
- Perform or assist with building, grounds, and equipment maintenance as assigned
- Perform other clerical and administrative tasks as guided by site management, such as answering telephones, scheduling appointments, greeting visitors, filing and record keeping
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed
- Work overtime as dictated by business, whether mandatory or voluntary
- Perform other duties as assigned

CompensationFor this position, the expected base pay range is $26.30 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on job‑related factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
