PQMS is seeking a seasoned Purchasing Supervisor with at least 2 years of experience in procurement roles. This individual will lead our purchasing team, oversee the purchasing processes, and work strategically to improve efficiencies and cost-effectiveness.

Supervise the daily operations of the purchasing department.

Implement purchasing strategies to maintain security of supply and optimum value for money.

Perform all purchasing tasks; including forward planning; tendering; negotiation; preparation of contracts; and performance analysis.

Manage supplier relationships and maintain a supplier database.

Oversee and ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and procedures.

Monitor market trends and make recommendations based on these trends.

Train and mentor team members; and maintain a positive and professional work environment.

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

A minimum of 2 years of experience in a purchasing role, including at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.

Comprehensive understanding of procurement processes and supplier management.

Proficient in utilizing purchasing software and tools.

Demonstrated excellent negotiation skills with a focus on cost optimization.

Strong organizational abilities with a proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
