Job Summary and Qualifications

The RST/PSS Supervisor manages and operates the VOA Recovery program in Owensboro, Kentucky. The role involves training, supporting, and coaching recovery support techs and peer support staff, overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring program compliance, and maintaining a therapeutic environment for clients and staff. The supervisor reports on attendance, manages budgets, and hires staff when vacancies arise. Responsibilities also include maintaining documentation integrity and fostering collaboration with community partners.

What

You Should Have
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two years of post‑secondary education
  • At least five years of experience in a treatment facility or related field
  • Minimum three years of supervisory experience
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • CPR certification within 30 days of employment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities
  • Maintain operational control of the programs.
  • Provide strong leadership and direction to program staff.
  • Oversee day‑to‑day operations of Addiction Recovery Services.
  • Ensure programs operate within budget, managing resources effectively.
  • Monitor program performance against goals, identify improvement areas, and implement changes.
  • Promote a client‑centered, trauma‑informed approach to care.
  • Collaboratively develop and implement program policies and procedures.
  • Implement and monitor risk management processes to ensure safety.
  • Conduct and document individual supervision for shift supervisors, peer support supervisors, and kitchen staff.
  • Ensure staff adhere to all ethical and professional standards.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and support professional development.
  • Address staff performance issues promptly following HR policies.
  • Ensure Recovery Support Techs and Peer Supports complete required training.
  • Foster a positive workplace that promotes staff well‑being and retention.
  • Screen and interview recovery support staff to maintain adequate staffing.
  • Monitor accuracy of non‑clinical documentation.
  • Facilitate monthly staff meetings to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Address client complaints and grievances, escalating when necessary.
  • Maintain facility cleanliness, safety, and maintenance.
  • Ensure staff monitor client duties and chores.
  • Ensure fire and safety measures are followed and understand fire equipment and evacuation plans.
  • Maintain CPR and First Aid certifications.
  • Coordinate appropriate staff‑to‑client ratios through scheduling.
  • Ensure sufficient supplies for staff and clients.
  • Attend treatment team meetings as required.
