Primary Responsibilities
People Management:
- Lead and guide Regional Cardiovascular Leads (RCLs); shape and execute customer engagement strategies to meet/exceed business objectives.
- Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing, customer-centric RCL team.
- Evaluate impact, maximize performance, and drive business outcomes.
- Observe customer interactions; provide training, coaching, and counseling.
- Support reskilling/upskilling, growth, and career development.
- Promote inclusivity and psychological safety.
Customer Engagement:
- Build relationships with scientific and clinical leaders and support presence with HCP leaders.
- Conduct approved, deep scientific discussions; gather actionable customer insights.
- Stay current via key cardiovascular conferences and society meetings.
- Collaborate with other customer-facing colleagues across the geography.
- Partner with marketing/training to design engagement content.
- Partner with regional teams to understand issues/opportunities.
Business Operations:
- Manage/deploy resources (including budget) to achieve objectives and ROI.
- Make local resource allocation decisions.
- Identify/create opportunities to drive business results.
- Provide appropriate field/customer inputs to HQ brand teams.
- Contribute to national strategy/tactics on cross-functional teams.
- Develop and adjust strategic plans based on insights; monitor performance objectives.
- Adhere to business practices and regulatory/compliance requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree; 6–8 years sales experience including leading teams.
- Equivalent leadership experience in healthcare/scientific (pharma/biotech/medical devices) or professional marketing.
- Strong presentation/communication; translate complex scientific/public health concepts.
- Strong collaboration/prioritization; contextualize decisions into corporate strategy.
- Technologically proficient (e.g., MS Office Suite, iPad).
- Valid driver’s license.
- Travel/overnights required.
Preferred Experience /
Skills:
- Advanced degree (MBA, PharmD).
- 5+ years Cardiovascular market and Cardiovascular products experience.
- 3+ years scientific/clinical leader engagement experience.
