SUMMARYThe Label Machine Operator is responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of the labeler and x-ray machines. This position shall assure the efficient operation, labeling of all sauce products and operate in such a manner to maintain continuous operation without downtime. The position shall also be responsible for cleaning the work area, verification and inspection of product and materials and maintain simple records.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Perform all duties and responsibilities in accordance with Mizkan America safety policies, OSHA regulations, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and SOP (Standard Operating Procedures).
- Perform manual tasks which support the continuous operation of the production lines. Such duties may include, but not be limited to:
- Sweeping, mopping and washing of floors and equipment.
- Operation and simple maintenance of the labeler machine and related equipment.
- Rotate duties with other workers at other locations in the plant as required.
- Performs simple quality inspections of product, materials and ingredients to assure compliance to standards.
- Maintain simple records and paperwork related to inventory and quality.
- Performs all TPM activities required.
- Perform changeovers as required.
- Performs other duties required of the position or as directed.
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required
- Strong computer literacy skills. Ability to learn new job-related software.
- Excellent attention to details and accuracy required.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Must be respectful and work well with all levels of personnel.
- Great work attitude, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to work overtime on short notice basis. Long-term, temporary assignments to any shift may be required to maintain manufacturing processes.
- Ability to work in high temperatures (hot or cold), working at heights and exposure to strong smells, dust, gases, fumes and chemical or require personal protective equipment.
- Ability to use Personal Protective Equipment.
- Must be able to pass a post offer pre-employment drug screening, pre-employment background check, and pre-employment physical.
