Broad FunctionThe Calibration Technician is responsible for calibrating products and documenting the associated calibration records.
Primary Responsibilities- Operate from written instructions to follow a detailed sequence of tasks without deviation, calibrating and testing both newly manufactured instruments and instruments returned for service.
- Accurately record and maintain calibration results and other pertinent information for each instrument undergoing calibration adjustment and final testing.
- Ensure equipment utilized during calibration and testing is calibrated and in working order.
- Identify trends and make recommendations to production and service personnel, providing suggestions for changes to procedures and documentation.
- Report issues to Engineering with the instrument software identified during calibration and testing.
- Help ensure the technical requirements of the ISO 17025 standard and of the calibration laboratory quality management system are met, and participate in internal and external audits as necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High degree of motivation and sense of responsibility, with demonstrated ability to work well with all levels of company employees.
- Position requires frequent standing, bending, stooping, sitting, and reaching motions.
- Basic to advanced computer skills, especially MS Word and Excel.
