As a Metal Fabricator within the door, frame, and hardware distribution industry, you will play a critical role in transforming raw metal materials into precise, high-quality components and products that meet client specifications. Your expertise will ensure that fabricated metal parts are produced efficiently, safely, and to exact standards, supporting the supply chain and customer satisfaction. This role demands a strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining equipment and workspace safety standards.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a metal fabricator or in a similar role within manufacturing or trade.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting elevations and technical drawings.
• Experience operating metal fabrication machinery and tools safely and effectively.
• Basic welding skills and knowledge of metalworking techniques.
• 5+ years of working experience.

• Certification in welding (e.g., AWS Certified Welder) or metal fabrication.
• Experience with CNC machinery and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software.
• Familiarity with safety standards such as OSHA regulations.
• Ability to work with a variety of metals including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
• Previous experience in door, frame, and hardware distribution or related industry.

• Read and interpret technical drawings, and specifications to determine fabrication requirements.
• Cut, shape, and assemble metal components using various tools and machinery such as shears, brakes, welding equipment, and grinders.
• Perform mig welding to join metal parts according to project specifications.
• Inspect finished products for quality, accuracy, and compliance with safety standards.
• Maintain and troubleshoot fabrication equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production deadlines and resolve fabrication challenges.
• Adhere to all workplace safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

The required skills such as metalworking techniques are essential for accurately fabricating components that meet design specifications. Welding and machinery operation skills are applied daily to assemble and finish metal products safely and efficiently. Preferred skills like CNC operation and CAM software knowledge enhance precision and productivity, allowing for more complex and automated fabrication processes. Strong problem‑solving and mechanical aptitude help in troubleshooting equipment issues and optimizing fabrication workflows.
