As an ICU Registered Nurse (RN) you will serve critical adult patients on a 6‑bed unit, providing direct patient care using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
Responsibilities- Perform plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care treatment.
- Document patient care delivered.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living—personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharge, referrals, and spiritual/psychosocial support.
- Evaluate the learning needs of patients and families and provide appropriate education.
- Advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of patients.
- Float to other departments as needed to maintain safe nurse‑to‑patient ratios.
- Manage ventilators, CPAP/BIPAP, and vapotherm devices.
- Titrate and maintain critical drips on ICU patients, with knowledge of indications, contraindications, and side effects.
- Pass a rhythm recognition test within 90 days of hire.

- Current Kentucky or Compact State RN license.
- Associate's degree from an accredited nursing school (Bachelor's degree preferred).
- Certifications:
BLS required within one month of hire; ACLS required within one year of hire; PALS required within one year of hire;
Handle with Care required within 30 days of orientation.
