Reporting to the team leader of Aging, Health and Wellness and the local Friar leader of Blessed Giles Friary, you will be providing care for Franciscan friars ensuring their well-being, comfort, and healthcare needs are met with compassion and dedication. In this crucial role, you will play an integral part in creating a supportive and nurturing environment for the friars, promoting their quality of life and upholding the values of St.

• Assist with the activities of daily living (ADLs) for patients, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature.
• Provide assistance with mobility and transfers for patients with varying levels of independence.
• Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients by maintaining hygiene standards in patient rooms.
• Collaborate with nursing and medical staff to provide quality patient care.
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team.
• Assist in the implementation of care plans and rehabilitation programs.
• Foster a supportive and compassionate atmosphere for patients and their families.
• Follow infection control protocols to maintain a safe healthcare environment.
• Document patient care activities accurately and timely.

• High school diploma or equivalent coupled with 2+ years experience with patient care/support with preference for geriatric care exposure.”
• Exhibits a genuine passion for patient care, showing empathy, and fostering a compassionate environment that promotes the well-being and dignity of each resident. Focus on patient-centered care and uses collaborative approach with patients.
• Demonstrated proficiency in providing basic nursing care, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), vital sign monitoring, and maintaining a clean and safe patient environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
• Basic understanding of medical terminology and procedures.
• Exhibits a strong work ethic, reliability, and dependability in fulfilling assigned duties, contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.
• Completion of a certified nursing assistant (CNA) program is a plus but not required.
