Registered Nurse; RN Medical-Surgical

Registered Nurse (RN) Medical Surgical – Nights Full Time 6:30-7:00, Rotating Weekends

Commitment Bonus: $15,000 for a two‑year commitment.

Overview: Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital invites an experienced RN to join its Medical Surgical team, providing compassionate care to patients in a collaborative environment focused on delivering high‑quality patient care.

• Perform plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
• Document patient care and monitor patient condition, communicating with the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Coordinate patient care across disciplines, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and support needs.
• Provide patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, and circumstances.
• Advocate for the physical and emotional well–being of patients.
• Participate in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Exposure:
  Regular occupational exposure to blood borne pathogens and hazardous materials.
• Physical Requirements:
  
  Frequent standing, walking, lifting/moving patients, and repetitive hand/arm movements.

• Associate's degree in nursing required; bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.

• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• BCLS required; ACLS, PALS, and Handle With Care preferred.
