Assistant Greens Superintendent

Assistant Greens Superintendent position is responsible for serving as the lead member of temporary and/or part-time employees and volunteers, as authorized, at the municipal Golf Course.

Starting pay minimum $24.9820/hr.

• Oversees golf course maintenance, maintenance crews, construction/renovation of golf course
• Maintains and repairs equipment
• Renders professional advice, opinions, assistance, and services as it relates to the golf course
• Performs a variety of labor and maintenance as needed (e.g., maintaining greens, applying pesticide, driving and operating various equipment/vehicles, maintaining equipment)
• Assists Golf Course Manager in safety and evacuation procedures, coordinating events with event organizers, inventory control of equipment/supplies

• Associates Degree in Agronomy, Turfgrass Management or other related field; OR
• Minimum 3 years work‑related experience in grounds maintenance, preferably golf course maintenance.
• Valid driver's license
• Must have or obtain category 18 commercial applicator certification for golf courses, and obtain CPR and First Aid certification immediately after hire.

Equivalent amount of education and/or experience is acceptable.
