The Vendor Specialist is responsible for ensuring vendor and product quality through audits, testing, and performance reviews, while driving continuous improvement, supporting ISO compliance, analyzing data for informed decision-making, and collaborating cross-functionally to deliver accurate, high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
This position sits with our Swedish Match affiliate.
Day to Day- Conduct internal and external vendor audits to ensure compliance with quality and performance standards
- Implement and maintain vendor audit systems to support Six Sigma-level quality performance
- Lead vendor performance reviews covering quality, service, and delivery
- Perform material line studies, testing, and validation for new and existing products
- Manage test orders and verify accuracy of incoming raw materials and vendor invoices
- Execute quality audits for in-process and finished goods; drive corrective actions as needed
- Analyze data and generate clear, actionable reports to support decision-making
- Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Merchandising, and customers to ensure satisfaction and successful change implementation
- Support ISO 9001 audits and maintain compliance with quality standards
- Serve as a key liaison between internal teams and external vendors
- Lead or contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and special projects
- Deliver accurate, high-quality work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience required;
Bachelor’s degree preferred - 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or quality environment
- Experience with GMP, ISO 9001, or ISO 14001 strongly preferred
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail
- Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in basic statistics and computer applications
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Minimal travel required
$ 66,400 - $83,000
