Position Information Classification Title Res Associate-Life Science III FLSA Exempt FTE 1.0 Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree in a related field of science and 5 years of professional experience
Preferred Qualifications Position Summary This position has a limited term appointment which is expected to end 1 year after the start date. The position may be extended beyond the initial term, contingent upon performance and continued funding for up to 3 years.
The incumbent will work independently and collaboratively to provide statistical support to the National Park Service’s Inventory and Monitoring Division.
This position will with the Georgia Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit in the Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources while also collaborating with the Department of Statistics.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies- Expertise in statistical analysis and modeling of ecological monitoring data using approaches such as generalized linear mixed models (GLMMs), generalized additive models (GAMs), occupancy modeling, and related methods.
- Proficiency in R and experience with data management, analysis, and visualization.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex datasets and communicate findings through written reports, presentations, and visual products.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-based research environment.
