Our client creates exceptional culinary experiences for leading Bay Area corporations, distinguished private clients, and Silicon Valley’s “Who’s Who.” Known for its personalized approach, polished service, and attention to detail, the company produces memorable events designed around each client’s unique vision.
They are looking for a dynamic, outgoing, and highly organized sales professional who can help grow the brand while managing every stage of the event process—from the initial inquiry and proposal through onsite execution and final invoicing.
The Catering & Event Sales Manager is a hands‑on, client‑facing leader responsible for managing the full event life cycle. You will respond to incoming inquiries, develop new business, create customized proposals, negotiate contracts, coordinate event logistics, and serve as the primary client contact throughout the planning process and during live events.
This role requires a strong combination of sales ability, front‑of‑house hospitality, creativity, organization, and operational follow‑through. You will work closely with the Executive Chef, staffing team, event personnel, preferred vendors, and accounting department to ensure every event is thoughtfully planned, smoothly executed, and financially successful.
The ideal candidate has a proactive, “can‑do” attitude, thrives in a fast‑paced environment, and builds lasting relationships with both corporate and private clients.
Sales & Client Management Responsibilities- Manage the full event life cycle, from initial inquiry through post‑event follow‑up and final billing
- Proposals & Contracts:
Create accurate, high‑quality event proposals, negotiate contracts, and collect deposits. - Client Relations:
Act as the primary point of contact during events to ensure smooth execution and high client satisfaction.
- Identify up‑sell opportunities, drive ancillary revenue, and partner with preferred vendors to increase sales.
- Kitchen Alignment:
Maintain the master catering board, provide daily updates to the Executive Chef, and attend weekly BEO meetings. - Staffing & Logistics:
Partner with the staffing team to schedule event personnel, update timelines, and write a packlist for events. - Event Staff Supervision:
Supervise event staff onsite to ensure a timely set‑up, and check in with staff prior to and after the event. - Financial Oversight:
Finalize final invoices in a timely manner for review with accounting prior to sending to the client to ensure accuracy and maximize profit goals.
- Market Awareness:
Monitor the local competitive landscape to protect profit margins and meet revenue targets. - Team
Collaboration:
Foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture across sales, events, and kitchen teams. - Reporting:
Complete administrative tasks and provide regular activity reports to your direct manager. - Community Presence:
Represent Heirloom Catering professionally at community events, industry organizations, and trade shows.
