Job Description:Responsibilities:
- Assists in measuring the effectiveness of public safety operations in the delivery of routine and emergency response services.
- Maintains and submits weekly, monthly and annual report.
- Assist with coordination the day-to-day operations of campus officers.
- Assist with Monitoring the activities of personnel to ensure compliance with TCSG policy and department procedures.
- Develops and/or assists with the development of policies and procedures and recommends changes to effectively meet the goals and requirements of the agency.
- Interprets and applies state and federal rules, regulations, policies, and legislation as they apply to campus police and security operations.
- Provides for the safety and security of students, staff, faculty, administrators, visitors, and property.
- Maintains knowledge of assigned program area and gives updates to management on service, operations, and projects.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of policies, procedures, and state or federal laws that may impact department initiatives.
- Provides advice concerning appropriate law enforcement response to incidents and violations of law.
- Attends meetings with local law enforcement and emergency management personnel.
- Responds to emergency and non-emergency calls for service.
- Manage and maintain state certification standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Associate degree
* and* Three (3) years of experience in law enforcement
* OR* Five years’ experience in law enforcement. P.O.S.T certification. Certified
- Certified P.O.S.T instructor.
- Associate degree or higher in a related field.
- Experience in a post-secondary environment.
- Knowledge of I.C.S., N.I.M.S., and standardized emergency management systems.
- Knowledge of the Clery Act, Title IX, and related federal mandates postsecondary institutions.
