Utility Locator

Compensation: $19.00 hourly.

• Correctly, safely, and efficiently locate underground utilities, including telecommunications, electric power, cable TV, gas, water, and sewer systems.
• Thoroughly search for underground utilities in a designated area, accurately marking the location, completing the necessary documentation, and photographing each locate.
• Work full‑time daytime shifts; 48‑hour turnaround time on many locates, requiring work the day after holidays and some weekends as needed.
• Be available for overtime, weekend shifts, on‑call shifts (including nights and weekends) dependent on business needs.

• Ability and willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions; prior outdoor experience is a plus.
• Proficiency with technology and ability to read, understand, and reference locate tickets, maps, and prints.
• Availability to work overtime, weekends, and on‑call shifts as needed.
• Must pass a drug screen (safety‑sensitive position).
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• Ability to work in confined spaces; walk, bend, and lift up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to distinguish between colors used to identify wiring and mark underground utilities.
• Clear communication skills with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners.
