Volunteers of America Mid-States (VOA) is a non‑profit organization spanning four states that creates positive change in the lives of individuals and communities through a ministry of service. We provide housing for families, veterans, and low‑income seniors. We also provide care and support for individuals with developmental disabilities, restorative justice, and free HIV testing and education. Founded in 1896, VOA continues to be staffed by paid, mission‑driven professionals working to build thriving communities.
Our employees enjoy flexibility, teamwork, and pride in their work. We offer a comprehensive benefits package to eligible employees.
At Volunteers of America Mid‑States we believe recovery happens through connection, consistency, and community. We serve individuals in some of the most critical stages of addiction recovery—where showing up in person can make all the difference. Our clinicians are part of a collaborative, team‑based environment focused on helping people stabilize, rebuild, and move forward. If you’re looking for meaningful work, strong clinical support, and a place where you’re not working alone—this is that place.
