Mule Soft Consultant

Location:

Columbus, OH (Hybrid)
• Duration: 6+ months

Work hours need to be flexible with occasional night and weekend work for solution remediation or emergency issues. These hours outside typical business hours are remote.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Mule Soft Certified Developer certification required.
• Mule Soft Architect-level certifications strongly preferred.
• Salesforce certifications are highly desirable.

• Minimum 7 years of hands‑on experience with Mule Soft Anypoint Platform and enterprise integration development.
• Strong experience designing and developing REST and SOAP APIs and enterprise integration solutions.
• Experience implementing API‑led connectivity and reusable integration frameworks.
• Strong experience building APIs and integrating with third‑party enterprise applications and platforms.
• Experience integrating Mule Soft with Salesforce and other cloud‑based systems is required.
• Experience modernizing or migrating legacy integrations to Mule Soft is preferred.
• Strong understanding of ESB architecture, Mule connectors, API Manager, Exchange, and RAML design.
• Experience working with event‑driven architecture and messaging technologies such as JMS, Kafka, or RabbitMQ is preferred.

• Strong programming experience with Java, J2EE, Spring Framework, XML, JSON, and related integration technologies.
• Experience with Python or other modern programming languages is a plus.
• Strong SQL and data transformation skills.
• Experience integrating with Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or other enterprise databases.
• Experience designing scalable, high‑availability, and fault‑tolerant integration solutions.

• Experience deploying and supporting integrations in Cloud Hub and hybrid cloud environments.
• Experience with Azure cloud platforms preferred.
• Experience with Git‑based source control and branching strategies.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure Dev Ops, Git Hub Actions, Maven, or similar technologies.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, ELK, App Dynamics, or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or container‑based deployment models is a plus.

• Strong understanding of enterprise integration security patterns and API security best practices.
• Experience implementing OAuth 2.0, JWT, TLS/SSL certificates, encryption, and secure API authentication mechanisms.
• Familiarity with enterprise governance frameworks and IT service management practices such as ITIL is preferred.

• Experience working in Agile development environments and using Agile methodologies.
• Experience supporting mission‑critical enterprise applications and production environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives, mentor team members, and manage priorities independently.

• Experience working in large enterprises or government environments is preferred.
• Mandatory on‑site work Wednesdays for hybrid office.
