The Coffee Route Merchandiser represents Five Star Breaktime Solutions across assigned client locations by delivering, stocking, and maintaining office coffee and water solutions. This role is ideal for self‑motivated individuals who enjoy working independently, building customer relationships, driving safely, and taking pride in delivering consistent, high‑quality service.

As the face of Five Star's coffee program, you will ensure customers have fresh, reliable coffee and water service while identifying opportunities to enhance their breaktime experience.

• Stock and rotate coffee products, condiments, and related supplies according to company standards.
• Service office coffee equipment including brewers, air pots, and water coolers.
• Ensure all coffee stations are clean, organized, and visually appealing.
• Monitor product freshness and rotate inventory to minimize waste.
• Collect and document outdated or damaged products.
• Execute promotional rollouts and product changes as directed.
• Gather and report customer feedback regarding products and service.

• Review daily route requirements and product needs for each client location.
• Coordinate with warehouse teams to ensure accurate product staging.
• Load and unload coffee, water, and supplies following safety protocols.
• Drive company vehicle to service assigned routes efficiently and safely.
• Communicate with management regarding customer needs, service changes, or route optimization opportunities.

• Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of coffee and water equipment.
• Replace filters, parts, and accessories as required.
• Identify equipment issues and report service needs promptly.

• Greet customers in a professional and friendly manner.
• Respond to questions or concerns with urgency and professionalism.
• Provide coffee and water product recommendations based on customer preferences.
• Identify upselling opportunities while maintaining strong service relationships.

• Complete inventory counts and documentation per company protocol.
• Track product usage and report trends or concerns.
• Ensure accurate record‑keeping using handheld devices or route systems.

• Complete special projects or assignments as needed.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1‑2 years of route delivery, coffee service, merchandising, or customer service experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass DOT physical, background check, and drug screening.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Comfortable using handheld devices, tablets, and route management technology.
• Knowledge of driving safety, DOT compliance, and vehicle inspection practices.
• Strong attention to detail and accountability.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and perform frequent bending, reaching, and carrying.
