Bus Driver Rt. 36 Job Description
To transport students to and from school and on special trips, while operating a school bus in a safe and timely manner.
Reports to:
Director of Transportation.
- High School diploma or G.E.D. certificate.
- Demonstrable language skills.
- Experience working with children.
- Successful completion of mandatory training programs specified by the Kentucky Department of Education and local district.
- Completed all required state and local training tests and has at least one year of experience operating a motor vehicle.
- Meet criminal record and five‑year driving check requirements as per Kentucky state law.
- Completed all state and local physical examination and health requirements.
- Valid Kentucky commercial Class B driver’s license (CDL) with passenger endorsement.
- Must be a current Daviess County Public Schools Transportation employee.
Position:
Full‑time.
