What matters to us:
- High school diploma or G.E.D. required
- Per insurance requirements, must be at least twenty-five (25) years of age
- Knowledge of vehicles, specifications, and vehicle maintenance, including vehicles used to transport individuals with disabilities
- Valid driver's license, insurable driving record, and ability to drive facility vehicles required
- Possess or be able to obtain First Aid and CPR certifications (training provided)
Essential Functions:
- Conducts pre- and post-trip inspections while completing a Daily Report to include maintenance issues
- Ensures assigned vehicles are clean inside and swept out at the end of the day, along with other end-of-day procedures
- Ensures vehicles are properly equipped and stocked with required equipment and supplies each day
- Transports passengers according to the safest and shortest route possible
- Assists with the coordination and assignment of transportation routes and provides information to dispatch
- Possesses knowledge of, implements, and maintains approved routes
- Adheres to written instructions and policies concerning passengers
- Maintains and uses the current and approved manifest
