Job Overview

Position:
Warehouse Associate III ft:
Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Starting Hourly Rate: $20.50. Address: 10462 Hickory Hill Road, Ashland, VA 23005.

• Unload and load incoming and outgoing trailers, operating powered lift equipment to move product and materials as needed.
• Prepare orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials, packing boxes, and placing orders in the delivery area.
• Generate reports to acquire data as needed to support error resolution functions in the receiving process.
• Support other distribution center functions as needed, including error resolution, inventory audits, customer service, invoicing, and tagging shipments.
• Check out equipment daily and inspect it at shift start.
• Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy warehouse environment by adhering to company standards and policies, and legal regulations; alert others regarding potential concerns.

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 4-6 years of experience in a warehouse environment loading and unloading trailers.
• 1-3 years of experience operating a forklift or heavy equipment.
• Complete and maintain San Mar’s Lift Operator Certification in compliance with OSHA guidelines.
• Ability to follow directions and change priorities or job duties as business needs require; rotate to other production functions as needed.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to learn the Internal Operating System and operate a Radio Frequency (RF) unit.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment while meeting deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
• Comprehension of verbal and written instructions.
• Mandatory overtime as required, which may include weekends.

The role requires frequent standing, walking, talking, and hearing; lifting or moving up to sixty pounds; operating powered equipment; full range of motion of the neck, head, and back; reaching, grasping repetitive motions; climbing stairs, kneeling or squatting, bending, and carrying. Vision requirements include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Employees may be required to wear a headset covering one or both ears.

Personal protective equipment such as a protective harness may be required while operating machinery. Basic English literacy is required for operation of machines and necessary daily paperwork. The work environment is moderately noisy, exposes workers to dust, and to changes in weather, including extremes of heat and cold. Hazardous machinery such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and mechanized systems exist. The workplace is hectic and fast‑paced.
