Automotive Technician Description of the role

Lunghamer Ford is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Technician to join our team in Owosso, Michigan. As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of vehicles. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for delivering high-quality service to our customers.

• Transmission experience preferred
• Performing diagnostic tests and inspections on vehicles to identify issues
• Repairing or replacing components in vehicles, such as engines, transmissions, and brakes
• Conducting regular maintenance on vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements
• Ensuring all repairs and maintenance work is completed accurately and in a timely manner
• Keeping detailed records of all service and repair work performed
• Communicating with customers to explain diagnostic findings and necessary repairs
• Performing Multi Point Inspections per dealer & factory requirements

• Must possess State Certifications ASE preferred
• Proven experience as an Automotive Technician
• Strong knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Good communication and customer service skills

• Competitive compensation: $40 - $55 per hour
