Responsibilities- Provide leadership, strategic direction, and growth for counseling programs; ensure academic quality and alignment with Baker College’s mission.
- Foster a student-centric academic environment and maintain a culture of compliance, collaboration, and integrity among faculty and students within the program.
- Collaborate with the dean and faculty to support program quality, curriculum assessment, instruction, and accreditation.
- Mentor and support faculty, staff, and students to drive program success.
- Shape the future of education and make a meaningful impact in the field through active program leadership.
- Have an earned doctoral degree in counselor education, preferably from a CACREP-accredited program; or
- Have a related doctoral degree and have been employed as a full-time faculty member in a counselor education program for a minimum of one full academic year before July 1, 2013; or
- Have been employed as a full-time doctoral-level faculty member in a CORE-accredited master s program prior to July 1, 2017; or
- Have graduated from a rehabilitation doctoral program prior to January 1, 2018.
All core faculty members in counselor education are expected to demonstrate a strong identification with the counseling profession by:
- Maintaining active memberships in recognized professional counseling organizations.
- Possessing relevant professional counseling credentials.
- Providing evidence of ongoing professional involvement by meeting at least two of the following: participate in professional development/renewal activities; engage in professional service and advocacy; maintain an ongoing counseling practice; contribute to research and scholarly activities related to counseling.
The ideal candidate will bring a collaborative, innovative approach and a deep passion for educational excellence, with demonstrated experience in academic administration (program or clinical coordination, gatekeeping, teaching, advising, supervision) within a CACREP-accredited counseling program. They should also have proven expertise in CACREP self-studies and maintaining accreditation standards.

RequirementsThe candidate must meet one of the following qualifications:
