The Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS) program in Owosso seeks a qualified and motivated Clinical Coordinator to support excellence in clinical education. The Clinical Coordinator for the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program serves as the primary liaison between Baker College and affiliated clinical sites, developing new partnerships and maintaining existing relationships to support high-quality clinical education and effective student placement. Under the supervision of the Program Director, this role coordinates all aspects of clinical instruction and student placement while supporting student achievement through program‑specific instruction, advising, orientation, evaluation, and ongoing monitoring of student progress in the clinical setting.
Responsibilities- Maintain regular communication with the Clinical Instructors to ensure compliance with learning objectives and site contracts.
- Manage required documentation for student placement and evaluation.
- Ensure completion of PPE requirements and evaluate/approve waiver hours based on relevant student work experience.
- Conduct onsite clinical visits and facilitate student advising.
- Contribute to continuous program improvement through curriculum development, assessment, and accreditation support.
- Teach assigned courses and attend system meetings.
- Maintain professional expertise, ethical standards, and all required academic and professional credentials to ensure compliance with college and accreditation requirements.
- A bachelor’s degree in a related field with RDMS (AB and OB) or RT(S) credentials preferred; an associate’s degree with the same credentials required.
- A minimum of five years of experience in general ultrasound preferred.
- Familiarity with online education platforms and willingness to travel.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Apps.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
