We are currently seeking a motivated, detail‑oriented individual for the full‑time Dart Frog Breeder Technician position in our Dart Frog Department. As a member of the Dart Frog Department, you will play a key role in supporting the success of our breeding programs and contributing to the overall growth and quality standards of Josh’s Frogs. Your primary responsibilities will include caring for and breeding dart frog breeders, maintaining excellent husbandry and enclosure conditions, observing and collecting eggs, and accurately recording data related to breeding and production.
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about dart frogs and the herpetoculture industry, enjoys learning and research, and is excited to be part of a team that values high standards, continuous improvement, and a shared love for the animals we work with every day.
- $16.00/hour Starting Wages

- Care for and breed dart frog breeders following Josh’s Frogs standards
- Feed frogs and maintain high‑quality husbandry and enclosure conditions
- Observe frogs and breeding activity; collect eggs in assigned areas
- Accurately record breeder and egg data in forms and spreadsheets
- Follow SOPs, self‑regulate work quality and pace, and complete other assigned tasks
- Hard worker driven by personal success and achievement
- Strong interest in learning, research, and continued growth within the hobby, industry, and division species
- Ability to prioritize tasks with the company’s best interests in mind
- Proven ability to follow all procedures and safety protocols
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to give and receive feedback
- Proficiency with Asana, Google Sheets/Docs, and other technology‑based communication tools
- Strong attention to detail and a consistent, reliable work ethic
- Special consideration is given to those with:
- Previous experience breeding amphibians.
- Integrity - Bringing husbandry issues to the manager’s attention in a timely manner, self‑regulating speed and quality, and reporting any issues on SOP compliance. Take ownership and admit mistakes.
- One Team - Maintaining open communication with team members and managers, helping coworkers as needed, actively participating in L10 meetings, and problem‑solving.
- Constantly Growing - Look for opportunities for innovation and bring them to L10 meetings. Be open to feedback and use it to improve.
