Obstetric, Gynecologic, and Maternity Nursing Care
Provide specialized obstetric, gynecologic, and maternity nursing care to patients in a hospital setting. Ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of mothers, newborns, and families throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum phases.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with obstetric teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Monitor fetal heart rates, maternal vital signs, and progress during labor and delivery.
- Administer medications and interventions in accordance with physician orders and protocols.
- Assist with labor, delivery, C-section procedures, and newborn care.
- Educate patients and families on maternity and postpartum care, including newborn care and breastfeeding.
- Maintain accurate documentation of clinical assessments, procedures, and patient progress.
Qualifications:
- Hold a valid and active Michigan RN license.
- Acquire at least 2 years of recent OB/GYN experience, including high proficiency in LDRP.
- Demonstrate strong skills in labor, triage, delivery, circulating duties, and postpartum care.
- Obtain current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications.
- Pass a dysrhythmia test prior to assignment.
- Be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or hold approved exemptions.
