Occupational Therapist

Overview

We are looking for a compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our growing team. The right candidate has a can-do attitude, a friendly demeanor, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to provide medical support to clients in their homes.

• Provide Occupational therapy services to patients according to a written physician's plan of care. This may include, but is not limited to: assessing and evaluating therapeutic/rehabilitative/functional status, and participating in the development of the total plan of care. Evaluate home environment.
• Assess muscle strength, mobility, and range of motion (ROM) with rehab potential.
• Direct Occupational therapy treatment.
• Instruct patients and families/caregivers in the use and care of therapeutic appliances.
• Determine priority needs for Occupational therapy.
• Report to physician on patient reaction to treatment or changes in condition.
• Initiate the Occupational therapy program and instruct other personnel and/or family/caregivers in related phases and goals of the program; participate in case conferences.
• Train patients in the use of prosthetic devices when applicable.
• Identify patient and family/caregiver needs for other home health services and make referrals as necessary.
• Prepare and submit clinical and progress summaries based on attainment of goals.
• Participate in discharge planning for patients.
• Provide Occupational therapy consultation to home families/caregivers when indicated.
• Provide in-service education programs for nursing organization personnel as needed.
• Participate in the peer consultation process.
• Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants according to organization policy and state regulations.

• Degree from an Occupational Therapy program approved by an accredited organization.
• Licensed to practice as an Occupational Therapist within the state.
• Two years of appropriate experience as an Occupational Therapist; community/home health experience.
• Good verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
• Current CPR certification.

Pay: $60.00 - $70.00 per Visit
