JOB TITLE:
WIRE HARNESS ASSEMBLY TECHNICIAN
TK Harness and Wire in Oxford, MI specializes in low-volume electrical harness and cable manufacturing. We are currently expanding and seeking to add a wire harness assembly tech to our team.
Key responsibilities may include but not limited to:
- Reading and following assembly instructions, including parts lists, wire color, length and position
- Using manual hand tools to cut, crimp and strip wire
- Using electrical tools for assembly, such as wire strippers, soldering irons, torque wrenches and heat guns
- Binding cables or wire together using cable ties, conduit, sleeves, spot tape, cable clamps or straps
- Operating semi-automatic assembly equipment comfortably
- Following a build schedule, ensuring that assigned tasks are completed in a timely manner
- Maintaining a clean, organized workspace
Job Requirements:
Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time
Must be able to perform repetitive movements with both hands
Need to have a steady hand when soldering
Self-motivated individual who can work alone or in a small assembly team

This is a full-time, on-site position located in Oxford, MI, for a Wire & Harness Assembler Technician. This role involves assembling wire harnesses and cables, interpreting schematics and technical drawings, and using various tools and equipment to create high-quality electrical components. Additional responsibilities include troubleshooting and maintaining wiring components, ensuring quality standards are met, and collaborating with team members to meet production deadlines.
Qualifications- Ability to read and interpret wiring schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Experience with assembly processes, including cutting, crimping, and soldering wires and cables.
- Knowledge of proper usage of tools such as wire cutters, crimpers, and soldering equipment.
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills to accurately assemble complex wire harnesses.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems, components, and safety protocols.
- Physical dexterity and hand-eye coordination to handle small components safely and effectively.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to follow instructions and collaborate with a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or prior experience in a similar role is a plus.
