Tyler Union - Lining & Coating Utility -2nd shift

Tyler Union in Anniston, AL offers a Lining & Coating Utility position with an hourly pay rate of $23.73. • Follow all processes and procedures associated with the Tyler Union Safety Management Program and advise management of any deviations.
• Operate machinery used in the production process or assist machine operators.
• Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.
• Observe equipment operations to detect malfunctions and notify operators.
• Lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items manually or using hoists.
• Count finished products to determine if orders are complete.
• Mark or tag identification on parts.
• Load and unload items from machines, conveyors, and conveyances.
• Assist production workers with less skilled duties such as supplying or holding materials, tools, or cleaning work areas and equipment.
• Use appropriate tools to finish castings based on quality specifications.
• Clean and lubricate equipment.
• Record information such as the number of products tested, meter readings, or dates and times of production.

• High school diploma or GED certificate (preferred).
• One to three years of related on-the-job experience required.
• Preferred:
  Previous work experience in a foundry or heavy manufacturing environment.

• Knowledge of production and processing, and mechanical operations.
• Skills in operation monitoring, reading comprehension, active listening, complex problem solving, critical thinking, and operation control.
• Abilities including manual dexterity, strength, vision, reaction time, and coordination.
• Work activities such as handling objects, inspecting equipment, communicating, controlling machines, documenting information, and making decisions.

• Moderately heavy lifting/carrying equal to 40–50 pounds.
• Frequent carrying or lifting greater than 40 times per hour.
• Ability to bend below the waist, push/pull up to 25 pounds, twist torso, use both hands, stand, walk, and move neck forward/backward.
• Ability to work in high temperatures, high humidity, and in dusty or humid environments.
• Must wear protective equipment, including safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and hard hats.
