Overview Of The Position

Learn and understand the proper sequences and techniques in the plating process. Be responsible for assigned step(s) in the process, report any problems to Management. Be familiar with the company computer system, know how to  clock  parts to locations and document the required paperwork.

• Remove coating from parts using a chemical processes with and without rectification without causing detrimental damage to the substrate.
• Perform Hydrogen embrittlement bakes as required per work instructions.
• Be able to read and use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, c-micrometers, and bore gauges.
• Develop a clear ability to review various customer procedures for routing conformance.
• Be capable of identifying basic metal types.
• Prepare plating surfaces of all parts.
• Paint, tape, rack, and grit blast parts assigned.
• Understand the temperature ranges that various plating solutions should run.
• Plate parts to the specifications called for on  Travelers .
• Clean parts with chemical cleaners and mechanical means.
• Use proper hearing, eye, hand and foot protection as required.
• Check to ensure parts are placed in tanks with correct polarity.

• Prior work experience in plating helpful but not require
