The Staff Accountan t supports the Controller and accounting team through responsibility for assigned financial accounting, manufacturing accounting, month-end close, reconciliation, reporting, and analysis activities.
This position is designed as a developmental accounting role. The successful candidate may enter with a stronger background in either financial accounting or cost/operations accounting. Through structured training, hands‑on experience, and mentorship, the Staff Accountant will develop proficiency across both disciplines.
The Staff Accountant will also develop strong functional knowledge of CSI 10, progressing beyond transaction processing to understand how business activity flows through the ERP system and ultimately impacts the company's financial statements.

Pay: $62,000-$78,000 annually
Primary Responsibilities Financial Accounting & Month-End Close- Prepare assigned journal entries, accruals, prepaid expense entries, and other month‑end accounting activity.
- Prepare and maintain assigned balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Research and resolve reconciling items and unusual account activity.
- Support preparation of monthly financial statements and management reporting.
- Maintain supporting accounting schedules and documentation.
- Assist with fixed asset accounting, including additions, disposals, depreciation, and account reconciliation.
- Develop increasing ownership of assigned portions of the monthly close process.
- Develop an understanding of the company's manufacturing processes and how operational activity is reflected in the accounting records.
- Support inventory reconciliations, adjustments, and related month‑end accounting.
- Assist with analysis of material, labor, overhead, purchase price, and other manufacturing variances.
- Support standard cost maintenance and related accounting activities.
- Investigate inventory and manufacturing accounting discrepancies.
- Work directly with operations personnel when necessary to understand the underlying business activity driving accounting results.
- Develop the ability to connect physical manufacturing activity with its financial impact.
- Learn to efficiently navigate relevant CSI 10 modules, screens, inquiries, and reports.
- Execute assigned daily and month‑end accounting processes within CSI 10.
- Understand how transactions move through CSI 10 and ultimately impact the general ledger and financial statements.
- Reconcile relevant subsidiary information to the general ledger.
- Investigate transaction and posting discrepancies.
- Develop the ability to troubleshoot routine accounting and process issues.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and use of the system.
- Prior CSI 10 experience is not required.
- Experience with an integrated ERP system, particularly within a manufacturing environment, is preferred.
- Assist with monthly account and financial statement variance analysis.
- Investigate unusual transactions, balances, trends, and operating results.
- Develop the ability to identify the operational activity underlying financial results.
- Provide clear supporting analysis and explanations to the Controller.
- Progress from reporting what occurred to understanding and explaining why it occurred.
