• Ensure proper teacher/staff to student ratios.
• Enforce all center policies, protocols, NAEYC Standards and state regulations to ensure a fully compliant learning environment.
• Step in to provide immediate, in-classroom support to teachers as needed to handle challenging behaviors, maintain flow, and relieve overwhelmed staff.
• Coordinate staff lunch break schedule, designate coverage to ensure classroom ratio compliance and child safety.
• Oversee and verify that all teachers complete required daily cleaning duties to meet health, safety, and center presentation standards. Including classrooms, bathrooms, playgrounds and storage areas.

• Applicant must hold a Connecticut Head Teacher Certificate or will complete 12+ credits in Early Childhood Education within 1 year.
• At least 3 years of experience working with children at a licensed childcare center.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education preferred.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse staff and parents.
• Passion, idealism, integrity, positive attitude, mission-driven, and self-directed.
• CPR / First Aid certified.
• Experience working with or familiarity with NAEYC accreditation standards and practices.

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)
