Job Summary:

The Material Handler- 1st Shift (7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.) is responsible for the accurate and timely movement, staging, and replenishment of raw materials, finished goods, and production supplies throughout the facility. This role ensures that all materials are handled safely and efficiently to support production flow and maintain inventory accuracy.

Pay: $17.57/hr- $23.58/hr

Material Movement & Inventory Support
  • Deliver raw materials, resins, packaging, and components to production areas per job requirements.
  • Remove completed product from molding and assembly areas and transport to designated staging or storage locations.
  • Replenish work cells and machines with appropriate materials, keeping downtime to a minimum.
  • Accurately record material transactions using ERP or inventory systems (e.g., scanning, labeling, and issuing materials).
Preparation & Staging
  • Assist in the setup of materials at molding machines, including proper handling of resins and drying equipment.
  • Prepare and stage materials for upcoming production runs according to the schedule and traveler specifications.
  • Ensure all materials are properly labeled and traceable in accordance with quality and safety standards.
Shipping & Receiving Support
  • Support receiving functions including unloading deliveries, inspecting shipments, and verifying quantities.
  • Transport received goods to proper storage areas or production points.
  • Assist in packaging and loading finished goods for shipment when needed.
Equipment & Safety
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Perform daily equipment checks and report maintenance or safety concerns.
  • Follow all EH&S policies, including proper PPE use, hazardous material handling, and spill response protocols.
  • Ability to perform other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in plastics manufacturing or related field is a plus.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred.
  • Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
  • Attention to detail and precision in executing tasks.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Basic computer or scanner experience with inventory systems (e.g., ERP software).
  • Ability to understand and follow English work instructions, both verbal and written.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move around the production floor for extended periods.
  • Capable of lifting and carrying heavy objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity and hand‑eye coordination for handling small tools, machine components, and molds.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Comfortable wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, and ear protection.
  • Occasional bending, kneeling, and reaching to access equipment and perform maintenance tasks.
  • Good vision and color perception for inspecting parts and identifying any defects or abnormalities.
  • Ability to work in temperature‑controlled environments and withstand exposure to noise levels associated with manufacturing machinery.
  • Ability to receive, comprehend and utilize required training from OSHA and Company including but not limited to the following:
  • First Aid and CPR (optional)
