Job Description
Sovereign Consulting Inc. is seeking a full-time Entry-Level Environmental Scientist/Geologist/Hydrologist with 3-5 years of experience for our Oxford, CT location. Sovereign Consulting Inc. is an environmental consulting and remediation firm headquartered in Robbinsville, NJ.
Responsibilities:
- Provide field and office support of site investigations involving oversight of environmental drilling, well installation and soil sampling.
- Assist with technical report preparation documents including data input and interpretation.
- Have an understanding of the CT Remediation Standard Regulations (RSRs), UST Regulations, Significant Environmental Hazard Program, CT Transfer Act, and other similar programs/requirements.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Handle other related duties assigned; and
- Adherence to Sovereign Consulting Inc. health and safety procedures in all field related activities.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of related experience is required
- A bachelor’s degree in environmental science or geology
- OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification
- OSHA 30-hr Construction or General Industry certification, a plus
- Demonstrated technical writing skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft office, Adobe, and CAD a plus
- Must have excellent communication, analytical, field sampling skills.
- Must have a good driving record and be able to drive a company vehicle
Employment at Sovereign is contingent upon the results of a Drug & Alcohol screening test and a pre-placement medical evaluation that determines candidate’s ability to capably and safely perform the proposed job duties. A background check will also be required. Candidates must present documentation that confirms identity and eligibility for employment in the United States.
Salary will be commensurate with experience, education, and qualifications.
