Tradewind Aviation is seeking a Level 3 Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Aircraft Mechanic to work out of our Northeast base in Oxford, CT. The successful candidate will use their troubleshooting, diagnostic, and mechanical skills to maintain, inspect, and overhaul aircraft engines, complex systems, and structural airframe components. The role requires a detail‑oriented, safety‑conscious individual who continuously learns and shares knowledge with others, and who is flexible with work schedules, including weekends and holidays.

• Senior‑level licensed technician on first shift, capable of handling complex maintenance tasks independently.
• Perform all airframe and power plant scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on our fleet of turboprop aircraft to ensure operational reliability and on‑time completion.
• Continuously adhere to and enforce all company safe‑work practices, FAA safety standards, and applicable operational regulations.
• Read, interpret, and apply technical manual instructions.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic system malfunctions using industry standard methods and diagnostic equipment.
• Perform detailed inspections of aircraft.
• Remove worn or defective parts and install new or repaired components.
• Maintain precise records and logs of all maintenance work performed, adhering to FAA regulations.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on hangar equipment.
• Arrive on time and be ready to work.
• Perform other assigned duties as required.

• 5+ years as an A&P Mechanic.
• Experience diagnosing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing Pilatus PC‑12 aircraft.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manual information and execute instructions.
• Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid US driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Valid passport without travel restrictions.
• Eagerness to learn and willingness to train.
• Maintain a personal set of tools.
• Willingness and ability to travel to various parts of the United States, Caribbean, and Canada for periods of days to weeks as required for training, repairs, or other business needs.
• Successfully pass all required pre‑employment screenings, including DOT and criminal background checks, in accordance with company policy and applicable regulations.

• Perform brief or prolonged periods of physical stamina and dexterity (stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, twist, push, pull, grip, pinch).
• Lift up to 75 lbs.
• Work in confined spaces.
• Work under pressure with multiple urgent priorities, unanticipated complications or delays, and meet deadlines.
• Work may be performed in a maintenance hangar with the door open or closed, or outdoors on a tarmac, exposed to all seasonal weather elements.
