Technician II - Final Testing

Job Summary

* Assemble and troubleshoot fiber lasers

* Set up and run oscilloscope and/or other analytical instrumentation

* Perform splicing of fibers and soldering of electrical components

* Perform optical and electrical tests and measurements

* Properly record information

* Ability to read and follow written instructions and schematics

* Must be organized, energetic, reliable, timely and detail oriented

* Strong communication skills

* Data entry skills

* HS Diploma (Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Science or Engineering preferred), or 3 years of relevant industry experience

* Ability to work with small parts for extended periods for time (i.e. under a microscope or working with fibers)

* Familiar with spectroscopy, microscopy, oscilloscopes, voltmeters, photo-detectors, optical spectrum analyzers, and other similar test equipment.

* Ability to read and follow written instructions and schematics.

* Data entry skills, Basic Microsoft Excel

* Experience with laser diodes, solid-state or fiber lasers, electrical signal registration and measurement is preferred

* Experience handling precision opto-mechanical components preferred
