We are a 100% employee‑owned manufacturing company seeking a forward‑thinking financial leader who will manage our accounting operations, strengthen internal controls, and provide strategic insights. This is a “hands on” role which supports both day‑to‑day fiscal management and annual strategic planning. You will be the critical “right hand” partner of the President while also working closely with leadership and operations teams to enhance financial visibility, costing accuracy, and support continuous improvement across the organization.
This individual will contribute to the company’s success, fostering financial discipline, operational efficiency, and informed decision‑making. $115K/yr - $130K/yr
- Proactively refines and implements enhancements to improve efficiency and effectiveness of core accounting processes.
- Manages month end and year end close.
- Manages audits and relationships with CPA firms, banks, valuation firms, and insurers.
- Maintains the general ledger, chart of accounts, and all supporting schedules.
- Oversees AR, AP, bank reconciliations, and cash flow management.
- Ensures compliance with GAAP and internal financial policies.
- Serves as the administrator for the company’s 401(k) and ESOP plan.
- Provides Cost Accounting & Manufacturing Support
- Implements and maintains standard costing, job costing, and variance analysis.
- Partners with production to assess and report margin performance.
- Monitors inventory valuation, cycle counts, and material cost changes.
- Prepares weekly and monthly operational finance dashboards as may be required.
- Leads the annual budget, forecasting, and scenario modeling.
- Partners quarterly with the President to build and present financial and business results to the Board of Directors.
- Delivers actionable insights on profitability and operational efficiency.
- Models and supports long‑term planning, capital investment decisions, staffing decisions, and margin analysis and creating improvement initiatives as may be required.
- Strengthens financial systems, policies, and workflows as the company scales.
- Creates visible KPI reports that drive awareness for leadership and departments.
- Manages and improves internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Functions as the on‑site expert for the ESOP, (if unfamiliar, willing to learn), including employee education, plan compliance, coordination with trustees, and annual valuation.
- Prepares financial data for ESOP valuation firms and ensures timely, accurate reporting.
- Serves as the Administrator for the ERP system and manages all service contracts.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably within manufacturing.
- Strong experience with cost accounting, inventory systems, and financial operations.
- Experience with ERP systems (Epicor, Global shop).
- Advanced Excel skills: ability to quickly build financial models and dashboards. Strong analytical thinker with a continuous‑improvement mindset.
- Professional demeanor and appearance representing the culture of the business.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization, while fostering a respectful and professional team environment.
- Presentation modelling using PowerPoint. Software literacy, and on‑line tools.
- Familiarity with metal CNC machining and metal component fabrication in a custom made to order manufacturing business.

- Knowledge of Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOP)
