General Summary of DutiesProvides support to administrative office staff assuring a smooth departmental work flow. Responsible for performing daily tasks such as sorting mail, answering phone and routing incoming calls, filing, copying, data entry, and other similar duties, using a computer terminal. Relieves office staff of clerical work, and minor administrative and business detail.
Essential Job Functions- Answer, screen, and forward calls, providing information and taking messages
- Interact with all levels of management
- Make bank deposits when needed
- Meet and greet visitors entering the office, determine the nature of purpose of visit, and direct or escort them accordingly
- Keep reception area neat
- Collect, sort, distribute, and prepare mail
- Prepare paper charts for future dates of service
- Verify accuracy of scheduling to patient's procedures as patients check in
- Collect patient responsibilities
- Perform other duties as assigned
High School Diploma required. Associate's degree preferred. Two or more years of medical office experience required.
