Department:Communication Sciences and Disorders
Job Summary:Provides routine administrative support to a department or group of professionals in support of unit goals.
Job Description:- Schedules logistics and secures resources for meetings, conferences, travel, and work unit operations.
- Sends, receives, copies, and distributes communications to the appropriate entities according to established policies and procedures.
- Tracks, stocks, orders, and inventories office supplies underdirect supervision to ensure adequate materials are available for workplace operation.
- Serves as an occasional point of contact for individuals and groups providing basic organizational information via phone, inperson, and through other communication mediums, routing more complex inquiries to the appropriate entities.
Performs a variety of clerical duties involved in greeting and directing patients, making appointments, processing forms, and providing information to assist patients in obtaining clinical services.
- Performs clerical and receptionist functions.
- Provides assistance and information to students on services,charges, and treatment procedures.
- Operates computer/word-processing program to enter patientdata.
- Maintains database of patients in Electronic Medical Records
- Assembles and routes patient records to assigned locations;ensures confidentiality of records.
- Answers telephone, takes messages, transfers calls, and provides information to other departments upon request.
- Arranges for the acceptance of patients for clinical treatment;notifies patients of scheduled appointments; arranges for the transfer of patients to otherclinics as required.
- Assists in the compilation of data for regular and specialreports.
- Performs basic work processing functions to enter a variety ofpatient data.
- Accept payments from patients/clients
- Performs similar or related duties as assigned or required.
- High School Degree or Higher
- Three years of receptionist/clerical experience
