Job Description
We are seeking an entry level geotechnical engineer for our geotechnical and construction materials testing department. We are seeking a motivated entry-level Geotechnical Engineer to support geotechnical and construction materials testing projects across a variety of sites, including residential, commercial, educational, and infrastructure projects such as roadways and bridges.
Duties and Responsibilities- Assist with layout of soil boring locations and support field data collection for geotechnical investigations
- Help generate boring logs and select samples for laboratory testing
- Contribute to the preparation of geotechnical reports under supervision
- Support construction materials testing operations and coordinate with field technicians
- Perform basic engineering calculations related to soil bearing capacity and foundation systems
- Review and organize testing data and reports for internal review
- B.S. in Civil Engineering or Geological Engineering, M.S. preferred.
- One to three years of geotechnical engineering or construction materials testing consulting experience
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certificate strongly preferred.
- Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history
