Duties

If selected for this position, you will be responsible for the management and control of the district's short and long-range budget. Typical work assignments will include:

Developing and maintaining a comprehensive financial management program that involves both long-range and programmatic plans and the annual budget;

Developing financial policies to facilitate achievement of program goals and office objectives;

Managing the certification of obligations for the office;

Providing technical guidance, advice, and assistance to the Administrative Officer and the U.S. Attorney in the identification of future resource requirements, and in the planning and development of future budget requirements;

Preparing annual administrative budgets and operating plans;

Preparing justifications for recommended allocation levels, particularly deviations from initial office submissions; and

Preparing monthly financial and budgetary reports to office management, and quarterly reports to the agency.
