Summary

You will serve as a in the Supervisory Information Technology Specialist (PLCYPLN/INFOSEC) established as the Deputy Assistant Chief of Staff (DACOS) for Information Architecture (IA) and the Information Systems Security Manager organizationally located within the Information Architecture Department (N6) for the Commander of COMNAVMETOCCOM.

• You will collaborate with other COMNAVMETOCCOM department heads, deputy department heads and/or division heads to negotiate, decide and/or coordinate changes that may affect other departments.
• You will establish staff objectives and performance goals and assess progress toward their achievement.
• You will coordinate and integrate the work activities of several organizations’ entities; analyze organizational and operational problems and develop timely and economical solutions; and represent the organization both within and outside the Command.
• You will monitor daily execution items of the department including human resources and security compliance.
• You will provide SCI information security risk management representation, coordination, monitoring, oversight, and reporting for COMNAVMETOCCOM to the Navy Intelligence Community (IC).
• You will evaluate and resolve technical issues; and to evaluate and appropriately coordinate personnel resources.
• You will provide effective leadership in the management and direction of technical activities.
• You will organize and administer resources in changing resource/fiscal environments; extensive managerial skills and imagination and broad knowledge of DOW and DON policies and procedures.
• You will provide initiatives, originality and sound judgment in applying scientific principles to the analysis of operational problems.
• You will provide negotiation skills.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
• You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
