Papaya Language Specialist – AI Trainer; Malay​/MS

We are seeking a highly skilled Malay language expert to help train and improve AI language models. You will use your linguistic expertise and cultural insight to enhance AI performance in Malay comprehension, translation, writing, and reasoning. This role is ideal for linguists, translators, editors, teachers, writers, or professionals with strong Malay proficiency and excellent written English.

• Evaluate AI-generated Malay text for grammar accuracy, fluency, style, and cultural relevance.
• Create and review Malay-language tasks such as translations, paraphrases, summaries, and rewrites.
• Identify linguistic errors, tone problems, and cultural inaccuracies.
• Produce reference answers, scoring rubrics, and explanations.
• Annotate Malay text for meaning, structure, and context.
• Generate high-quality Malay content across different registers.
• Provide detailed written feedback to improve AI output quality.

• Native or near-native proficiency in Malay (writing, reading, grammar).
• Fluent written English (C1+).
• Bachelor’s degree in Malay Language, Linguistics, Translation, Education, Journalism, or related fields.
• Proven ability in one or more of the following:
  • Professional translation or interpretation (MS ↔ EN)
  • Writing/editing Malay content
  • Malay language teaching or curriculum development
  • Content creation, communication, or localization
• Strong attention to linguistic detail and analytical skill.
• Ability to follow strict guidelines and maintain consistency.
