Assembly Operator

Title: Assembly Operator
Location: Oxford, MS
Salary: $18.46 per hour with an increase to $20.43 after successful evaluations and 90 days.
Schedule: 2nd or 3rd shift

• Follow work instructions for the operation and control of various machines on a rotation through their respective areas.
• Perform basic visual quality inspections of small components and remove all defective parts.
• Pack ammunition into small boxes and load into cases weighing up to 30 pounds.
• Hand pack product into cartons using appropriate tools.
• Lift aluminum and steel plates with shells of different sizes into various machines.
• Utilize best work practices and housekeeping to ensure a clean and safe work environment.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Demonstrated job stability preferred; manufacturing and/or warehouse experience a plus.
• Ability and willingness to work 2nd shift (Monday - Friday) 3:30pm - 11:30pm or 3rd shift (Monday (Sunday night) - Friday 11:30pm - 7:30am), plus overtime to include weekends as needed.
• Ability and willingness to train on day shift (7:30am - 3:30pm) for a period of up to six weeks.
• Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time while performing repetitive tasks.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds as required.
• Prior Winchester experience in a relevant position preferred.

• This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
• This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required.
