We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Supervisor for our Cook Plant to lead and oversee daily food production operations in assigned areas. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a team of food production staff, ensuring compliance with all safety, sanitation, and quality standards, and maintaining efficient manufacturing processes in the assigned area. The ideal candidate is passionate about food safety and quality assurance, has strong leadership skills, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Prior Supervisor or Line Lead experience in a poultry plant is preferred. This is a day shift position.
- Supervise daily food production activities, ensuring adherence to FDA regulations, HACCP protocols, CGMP guidelines, and other regulatory standards.
- Lead and manage production team to meet quality standards in food processing, packaging, and manufacturing operations.
- Monitor and enforce safety standards in production areas, including sanitation practices and GMP compliance.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure mechanical equipment is functioning properly; operate forklifts as needed for material handling.
- Oversee inventory management using SAP or similar systems, ensuring accurate stock control and reporting shortages or issues promptly.
- Conduct regular training sessions on food safety management, sanitation procedures, and regulatory compliance for team members.
- Prior experience in food industry manufacturing or a food processing plant environment.
- Strong knowledge of FDA regulations, HACCP, GMP, and other food safety standards.
- Experience managing production or assembly teams within a food & beverage setting.
- Familiarity with SAP or comparable enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Excellent managerial communication skills to lead teams effectively and ensure clear operational directives.
- Basic math skills for inventory tracking, quality control documentation, and process calculations.
