- Assess and evaluate patient needs to provide supportive care before, during and after procedures.
- Initiate IVs for patient sedation prior to the procedures.
- Administer medications in accordance with physicians orders.
- Participate in patient education pre and post procedure.
- Provide patient education and instruction.
- Registered nurse active license. Membership in local, state, and national societies is encouraged.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Certification required.
- Solid nursing background, concentration, or willingness to obtain advanced knowledge in GI specialty.
- Priority setting, application of judgment, communication skill and tact
