health advocates network is currently seeking a licensed practical nurse to work at a facility in oxford, ms . These are registry positions with our company.

pay rate: $28 - $29 / hour

job responsibilities:

• provide direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians. Perform routine patient assessments and document findings accurately.
• administer medications as prescribed by physicians and maintain proper documentation of medication administration.
• regularly monitor and record patients' vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse rate, temperature, and respiration rate.
• assist with wound care, dressings, and rehabilitation procedures.
• ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient information, progress, and assessments using electronic medical records (emr) or other designated systems.
• collaborate with healthcare professionals, including physicians, registered nurses, and other members of the interdisciplinary team, to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
• educate patients and their families about healthcare procedures, medications, and post-treatment care instructions to promote effective self-management and recovery.
• follow established infection control protocols, including proper hand hygiene, use of personal protective equipment (ppe), and safe disposal of medical waste.
• act swiftly and effectively during emergencies, implementing appropriate nursing intervention and alerting the appropriate personnel as necessary.
• participate in quality improvement initiatives, ensuring adherence to best practices, policies, and regulatory requirements.
• maintains compliance and complies with annual requirements
• successfully completes required employment-related documentation, testing, and screenings in a timely manner

qualifications:

• minimum of 1 year of experience as a licensed practical nurse
• ability to build rapport with patients
• compassionate and caring demeanor
• familiarity with medical terminology
• a valid and current cpr card (american heart association)
• must have up to date credentials in the state of ms
• includes active rn/lpn/cna license, background check within 2 years (felony convictions prohibit employment), oig exclusion search, tb testing up to date (within 12 months), up to date cpr certification, driver's license/social security card, covid vaccination record (not mandaroty, but encouraged).
